The Race for Relapsing Polychondritis (RP) is thrilled that Neil Langberg was awarded 2019 Driver of the Year in the Pure McLaren GT Series, an FIA sanctioned international one-make racing championship based around the astounding McLaren 570S GT4.

Piloting the distinctive No. 53 Race for RP McLaren 570S GT4 during the 2019 season, Neil embodied the spirit of the series, demonstrated his passion for racing, and showed great enthusiasm to learn from the world-class Pure McLaren team.

We salute each of the outstanding, highly-skilled Pure McLaren drivers, the excellent engineers and techs, and the superb persons supporting the series – each of whom creates an amazing community.  A special “shout out” to Neil’s coach, Ross Kaiser, an elite talent with a remarkable understanding of the McLaren machinery as well as the world’s finest race circuits that comprised the exhilarating 2019 series.

Neil Langberg Awarded Pure McLaren GT Series Driver of the Year

Throughout 2019, Neil was an excellent ambassador for the Race for RP program, driving awareness about relapsing polychondritis, a debilitating autoimmune disease that is characterized by recurrent inflammation of cartilage throughout the body.

We are extremely grateful for the support we receive from Neil and the extended McLaren family.

We look forward to the 2020 season!  Viva McLaren!
